That was the issue. That was the problem. What if I never got married? What if I never found the love of a man? Would I be okay? Or would my life be a sorry mess?

A gentle peace washed over me, and I knew at that moment that God had a way of making sorry messes into something beautiful. I committed my heart to the Lord. Whatever happens, Lord, I’m choosing to trust You. If you want me to be single for the rest of my life then so be it. It’s going to hurt at times, but I know You will use it for good.

I rested in that knowledge. No matter what happened, it would be okay.
